My trip to the Homestead Museum

First and foremost, the museum tours are FREE! After lunch with some friends, we arrived in time to start the 1pm tour through the Workman House and La Casa Nueva.
Throughout the Workman House, we learned how the family became known in the area of what used to be the "Rancho La Puente" area and how the wealthy family started out in the cattle business.
Then we toured La Casa Nueva which was my favorite house. According to our tour guide, it was built in the 1920's and it is a Spanish colonial adobe house. It's the only one of it's kind in the La Puente area which encompassed many acres at the time it was built.
I will not tell you the entire story, so you can check it out yourself. It's great for children!
I've included some pictures of my trip and will leave the rest to your imagination. Hint: The stained glass windows are amazing!
