Volunteering at the Native American Church

I have enclosed some pictures of an event I normally take part in every other Wednesday in Anaheim.

What I do is volunteer for 2.5 hours unloading, packing and distributing groceries for needy families.

I enjoy it very much and even if it's a lot of work, it's worth it. To see the families receive the food and be so thankful for it is priceless.

I like that we start with a volunteer group meeting first and say a prayer to Our Lord and Savior. Then when the truck arrives, we disburse ourselves to the neediest part of the packing and distribution. I usually get stuck packing carrots, but I don't mind. Today I packed carrots, cucumbers and potatoes. I was all over the place!

As I've said before on my blog, I truly believe volunteering is good for the soul! I just wanted to share this experience with you, my readers.
