It all started with their chocolate chip waffle which was simply delicious. I paired it with their house coffee and it tasted great. If you know me, then you know I am a chocolate and coffee lover so this pair went great together. I really enjoyed that the waffle only had a hint of chocolate chips. The chocolate did not take over the waffle flavor at all.
The next item I enjoyed was the bite sized waffle. It came with a side of mustard but I liked mine plain. It was delicious all by itself.
My favorite waffle of the night was the Oven Roasted Turkey & Havarti Cheese Waffle. It was definitely the main dish in my eyes and I would recommend it for lunch or dinner on its own. I would definitely come back for this item alone as it satisfied my dinner craving. Along with it, we were also able to try the Genoa Salami & Fontina Cheese waffle as pictured below however I'm not a fan of salami so I didn't try this waffle but I'm sure it's just as tasty as I heard great reviews from my fellow bloggers. Both turkey and salami sandwiches are pictured below.
A sign posted by the cashier may be of interest to students as the restaurant offers a special to students during weekdays. If you show your student ID you can get 15% off a savory waffle and a 50% off a specialty waffle during the hours of 2pm-6pm from Monday-Friday. What a deal!
For dessert, we tried a few different types of specialty waffles. My favorites were the cinnamon waffles and the carrot cake waffles with cream cheese frosting. I highly enjoyed both items.
I hope you can make your way over to The Waffle Affair one of these days. The prices are very reasonable and the waffles are extremely delicious. The customer service is excellent as well.
