Grilled Cheese Sandwiches with Boudin Bakery

Summer is a great time to try new dishes. That's why when I was invited to try some new sandwiches at Boudin Bakery, I jumped at the opportunity. I was invited to try their new grilled cheese sandwiches at the Huntington Beach location along with many other bloggers and their kids. It was a fun filled day!

The event commenced with some activities for the kids. They decorated some chef hats, colored and made bracelets. They were fed mac & cheese and grilled cheese sandwich bites. My niece and her friend had a blast! My niece made a hat for her little brother and her friend made a hat for Chef Alan Skversky.

Chef Alan Skversky was on hand to explain the three grilled sandwiches we had a chance to sample. We tried the Great Grilled Cheese which is vegetarian and comes with Havarti & sharp cheddar melted to perfection and parmesan-crusted sliced sourdough. It's 890 calories and will cost you $7.59. You may also add bacon to the sandwich if you choose. This was my favorite sandwich of all three sampled. It was simple and very tasty.

The next sandwich we sampled was the Jalapeno Grilled Cheese Sandwich. This sandwich is made with jalapeno cheddar bread. It was my second favorite. I didn't gather too much info on this sandwich and apologize but it was delicious.

The third sandwich was the Grilled Brie with Apples & Fig Jam which is also vegetarian and contains Brie, Havarti, sliced apples, fig jam, Parmesan-crusted multigrain bread and is 830 calories. It will cost you about 8.29. I didn't try this sandwich because it was sweet and it didn't fit my taste buds but my best friend says it was delicious and she highly recommends it. Chef Alan Skversky also added that he created this sandwich.

Summer is all about trying new foods and I would encourage you to try new restaurants like Boudin Bakery. You can enjoy a salad or a grilled cheese sandwich while your child enjoys a kids meal at a fine restaurant like Boudin Bakery. I will definitely return and hope others can enjoy the benefits of fine dining as well.
